MATRIX RELOADED:

EXPLAINED

DO YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND THE MATRIX RELOADED?

Recap of Matrix I.

There is a war between the humans and the machines, and at some point in time the humans scorched the sky blocking out the only means of energy from the machines, the Sun. So the machines realized that the human body produces heat and, with a certain chemical process known as fusion, could be able to turn the heat into energy. So, the machines realize that they had to put our physical bodies in a container to harness our body heat. But our minds were as busy as can be. The machines connected our brains to the to a computer program, called the Matrix, and put us under control to let us live in a Virtual Reality Dream world…

The Explanation: Matrix Reloaded

Neo is able move faster and do the impossible things within the Matrix because he has stored inside him certain code. Code that he doesn’t really know is inside him until the end of the movie. We get hints that the code is in him because he sees people in the actual Matrix writing.

Agent Smith seems to be free because in Matrix I when Neo destroyed Smith, Agent Smith copied some of that code that is inside Neo and because Smith is a program he is able use that code to hack other program in the Matrix. We learn this when the Oracle speaks to Neo about “programs hacking programs” and “if a program is supposed to be deleted it may not want to be deleted” and hence creates havoc for all the other programs, namely the other Agents.

You see according to Agent Smith in his little speech with neo right before the 100 Smith battle, he said that “I (Smith) am no longer an Agent of this system” and he also said, “that he is unplugged and free, like you (Neo) just apparently free.” What he means by this is that the Matrix is more complicated than we could imagine; So complicated that I will have to explain this with a diagram.

What I have gathered from the movie is that the Matrix and the real world are under control by one mainframe/server(just a larger form of the matrix that holds both the matrix and the real world). The reason for this is because Agent Smith says that Neo is not really free but he just believes that he is free. When in fact, Neo and the others are under the control of the mainframe computer. Neo doesn’t know that is why he thinks he is free. This fact is also shown when Agent Smith can move from the Matrix to the Real world. This also shows how Neo is able to use his powers to stop the Sentinels outside of the Matrix. Because the Real World is under the Mainframe computer there is a program controlling the real world. Agent Smith is now able to exist as a program in the Matrix and now because the Real World is a program he is able to exist in the real World.

The Architect

This is probably the most complicated part of the movie. He basically says that Neo contains code that enables him to do what he does. He also says that the code is used to start a new Matrix. They always have to restart the Matrix because a newer version of the Matrix has to be created and also it has to be updated for glitches. He says that this is currently the sixth Matrix and that a seventh will be created. In order to do this Neo has to enter the right door and the code will be read from him and downloaded onto the mainframe and then Neo has to choose 23 people to rebuild Zion . I have come to realize that the other Neo’s on the TV screen are the other/past Ones of the other Matrix. That is the people on the TV screen were the “One” from the first Matrix and the second Matrix and so on…

But if Neo chooses the left door (the actual one he chooses) he will re-enter the Matrix and then in 24 hours the Matrix and the real world will be destroyed.

The Architect also explained that the Oracle is the Mother of the Matrix. He tells his tale by saying that the Oracle was created to understand the “human psychological makeup” (to try and understand the human beings). Anyway, when the Architect tried to give the Oracle the program, she would not take it. So she had her own power in the Matrix. She tried to understand humans and came up with a very efficient way of letting human minds accept being plugged into the Matrix. She said that if the humans were given the choice to be in the Matrix or the real world that the 99.99% of the people would accept the program because they were given a choice. And she mentioned that if they didn’t really understand the choice they would still accept the program.

The End of the Movie

Basically the end of the movie shows Agent Smith in human form laying on the table and neo beside him. Now they have to worry about saving Zion in 24 hours because the Architect said that it would be destroyed if he went back into the Matrix.
